Unemployment in Nigeria

The problem of unemployment in Nigeria is the major problem seriously desturbing  the youths and there is no sign any solution would come by in the near future.

Although there are many factors and events that contributed to the problem of unemployment, for instance the president of Nigeria came out to say that you should not expect him to give you work, you are supposed to go and look it for yourself. He even called Nigerian youths lazy youths, but in reality Nigerian youths have never been lazy youths.

So many youths were disappointed by the president they didn't expect to hear that kind of statement from him because it was contrary to his campaign promises which he made that he would employ  five hundred thousand graduates every year.

To make things worst he increased the price of petrol devaluated the Nigerian currency which as a result caused overshoot in the prices of goods and services, so many company cut the number of their employees to maximise their profits.

Another factor that contributed to unemployment in Nigeria is that Nigerians are wicked and greedy  to one another rich people intentionally struggles with poor on limited employment opportunities in the government sector for their children, and this kind of situation leave no hope for the poor man's child because the rich would pay millions for his child to succeed against poor man child which his parent cannot pay equal amount.

Many of the Nigerian youths resorted to self employment but the problem of self employment is that you need money to start and the lack of money is a big challenge, apart from that even you got the money it would be not be enough, the economy of the country is bad.

The devaluation of naira have caused inflation which made the cost of production high the entrepreneur would have no option than to make the price of goods and services also high this drives away costumers because majority of the people are not working and have no money.

There is what the previous government of Obasanjo did that is still creating the problem of unemployment, he said that he is changing Nigerian economic system from socialism to capitalism, the said government have no business in doing business in effect he sold hundreds of government companies that are providing employment to Nigerians for years to themselves, their girlfriends, their families and political allies and as a results all the companies collapsed.

They never know that only a competent manager can manage a company regardless of your race, tribe and religion. The fact that you have gone to the university doesn't make you a good manager of a company.

Our universities keep graduating thousands of students every year with no hope of getting employment, Nigerians are now ready to work for any price but they cannot even see the job.

Corruption in Nigeria

You cannot divorce corruption from millitary regime in Nigeria, it have started since in the sixty's when the military been moved by selfishness and greediness toppled the promising civilian government, since then they tried to justify their unjustifiable actions by saying that the reason why they toppled the civilian government is to make Nigerians more united.
But that is only a deception because what happens is the opposite because the military polarized Nigeria base on ethnic and religious lines the worst of it is that they made corruption to became a culture in Nigeria.
Out of selfishness and greediness the military started overthrowing the government of fellow military, as a result it lead to a civil war which caused the death of millions  and destruction of properties of unquantifiable amount.

At the end of the war the military continued ruling and institutionalizing corruption, public money became personal money. One of the weapons they used against the people is deception they used it to misled people.
They also use money and positions to buy the hearts and minds of the elites so that they would help them to decieve the mercies because many of them where uneducated and the rely on the elites for awareness, the masses where mostly uncivilized thereby  they can easily be misled as to the real State of affairs in the country.
When the military were pressurized by the international countries and bodies to leave power and go back to democracy, they retired and went into politics. The money they stole gave them an upper hand in the campaign, in so many cases they rig election where they cannot rig or buy vote they promised that when elected they would eradicate corruption and when they were elected they became the pioneer of corruption.
Any common Nigerian hate corruption even in reality he practice it. His anger on corruptions always grow because he knows it was corruption that makes him to become a slave in his own country and it makes him to support and respect who ever that would claim to fight corruption even if it was insincerely spoken.

Corruption have punished Nigerians because no good schools, no good school adminstration, lecturers have the power to demand for sex from female student and incase she failed to comply she risk failing her exams in the institution.

No good hospitals, when you go to the hospitals there are only few doctors regardless of the fact that the hospitals are few with too many patients waiting for consultation.

What makes the situation worse is that the doctors arrive at the time they want and go away the time they want with nobody calling them to order. The doctors claimed that their salary is too small and government have no intention of reviewing it that leave them with no option than to look for another work in the private clinic which makes them to be recieving double salaries.

The Beginning of The End of Shekau

It appears that this is the beginning of the end of Shekau taking into consideration the way the two regional powers of west Africa that is Nigeria and Chad punished the terrorist group Boko Haram in several Battles which as a result the terrorist leader could not hide his emotion he cried, since the heat  of the fire is too much.
But even with the fact that Shekau have seen the battle of his life but it would be expensive and unwise for the army to soften their grip on him because Shekau has never been soft on his enemies or his victims.

The terrorist leader is very trickish person perhaps he maybe doing this in order to make the army soften their grip on him so that he would buy time to get more weapons and fighters to give the Nigerian army big surprise, so the army should be wary of his deceptional tendencies.
So also this is a time for the army to become tougher in the way they have  never been before so that he would have no time to relax.
The army should continue to target his weaponry and his fighters at least to keep Shekau hidden but in pain.
The army  should also realize that this is not a time that they should mismanage if they do so then it would take them years to get same opportunity again.

Is it true that Shekau is going to surrender

These days there were rumours flying everywhere that the leader of Boko Haram Abubakar Shekau is about to surrender to the Nigerian army. How true is this?
A senior spoke person of the Nigerian defence headquarters major gen. John Eneche said " if Shekau followed the due proccess before surrendering they would accept it".

So also another defence spokeman  col. Sagir Musa said " he have also heared about the rummour that Shekau is going to surrender but that is not their priority their priority is the war against the terrorists group".

But since the rumours began people started questioning its realibity or otherwise.

A VOA reporter visited a researcher on the group of Boko Haram Barrister Bulama Bukar to hear his views about the issue and he said " honestly speaking this rumours began since when  the Chadian troops led by their president conducted a punishing and successful raid against the terrorists group".

He continued" since I read the news from the vanguard newsper i so much doubt it i believed that the rumours comes from the Nigerian army in order to convince Nigerians that it is also succeeding against the group, and this is a repeatation of what happened in the passed where Nigerian army displays large numbers of weapons as  gains in the fight to prove that it is succeeding against the group".

It is now 12 years that the Nigerian army and her allied are fighting Boko Haram. Since the crisis began the terrorists have killed 18 thousands lives and have displaced millions from their houses.
